N. Machine System Models

Machine, formed by one or more mechanisms, is an instrument designed to produce effective power or transform the mechanical energy based on the input force or power. In our daily life, there are many machines existed which are constructed based on the basic mechanisms as mentioned in the previous chapters. For example, the crane is formed by a number of gear mechanisms, the steam engine is constructed based on a linkage mechanism, the four-stroke engine is designed primarily consisting the slider-crank mechanism and cam mechanisms,…, etc.
